1. The contest closes at 11:59 p.m. (Eastern Standard Time) on February 28. 2010. No purchase necessary. Only one entry per person/e-mail address. Any attempt or suspected attempt to enter more than once per person, any use of robotic, automatic, programmed or entry methods not authorized by these rules, shall be deemed as tampering and will void all that person's entries.

A random draw by a representative of Dogs in Canada from all entries received as of the contest closing date will be made at approximately noon on March 5, 2010, at 200 Ronson Dr., Ste. 401, Etobicoke, Ont. The selected entrant will be contacted by telephone or e-mail, as set out on the entry form.

The selected entrant will have to correctly answer a skill-testing question in order to be deemed the winner.

If the selected entrant cannot be reached within five days, declines the prize, or fails to provide a Canadian shipping address, another entrant will be selected.

2. Participants are eligible to win the contest prize, having an approximate retail value of $39 and consisting of a year-long subscription to Dogs in Canada magazine. The prize must be accepted as awarded and may not be transferred or exchanged.

3. By entering this contest, entrants consent to the use, without further notice or compensation, of their entry, name and city of residence and/or any photograph of them that may be taken in publicity carried out by Dogs in Canada.

4. This contest is open to Canadian residents over the age of 19, except employees (and persons with whom they are domiciled) of Dogs in Canada, The Canadian Kennel Club, contest sponsors, prize suppliers and affiliates. The contest is subject to all applicable federal, provincial and municipal laws and regulations.

5. Odds of winning depend on the number of eligible entries received. All entries that are incomplete, illegible, damaged, irregular, have been submitted through illicit means, or do not conform to or satisfy any condition of the rules may be disqualified by Dogs in Canada.

6. This contest will be run in accordance with these rules, subject to amendment by Dogs in Canada. Contestants must comply with these rules, and will be deemed to have received and understood the rules by participating in the contest.

7. Dogs in Canada assumes no responsibility for failure of the Internet or the web site during the promotional period, for any problems or technical malfunction of any telephone network or lines, computer on-line systems, servers, access providers, computer equipment, software, failure of any e-mail or traffic congestion on the Internet or at any web site, or any combination thereof including any injury or damage to an entrant's or any other person's computer related to or resulting from entering the contest.
